After Graduation, Doug served in the U.S. Navy for 8.5 years as an Oceanographer (OT).  Receiving an honorable discharge from the Navy, he accepted the opportunity to be mentored in the financial services industry with a large insurance company.  He was later invited by another large firm to be mentored into their pension and savings division, helping to design and implement pensions and retirement plans for School systems, Hospitals, Universities, and Not-for-Profit Organizations.  He worked with the firms’ office in San Diego, CA and over the years Supervised and served the firms’ Offices in Nevada, Virginia, Ohio, Chicago, Kansas City, and transferred to Saint Louis in 1997. St Louis became home.  Doug went to another firm, after deciding not to transfer and move his family again.  He joined a large Regional bank as a Financial Advisor and then joined Waddell & Reed in early 2017.  Doug’s focus is working with Generational families, helping them plan for their retirement and Legacy.

Doug and his wife, Eve, have 6 grown children and are proud grandparents of 22.  They are now empty nesters with only 2 Dachshund's living at home.  They enjoy traveling, especially to see family or with family.  They are avid Baseball (Cardinals) fans and MUNY season ticket holders.  Doug’s hobbies and pastime is making Jewelry for all the family ladies, gardening, and golf.  They love to do anonymous volunteer work and practice Random acts of Kindness. Doug is also a member of the world famous Lawn Rangers, who march in Parades throughout the country.
